A high quality hand-painted mural adds a touch of magic to any room. Though primarily intended for children’s rooms, they can also make an attractive addition to bathrooms, bedrooms, kitchens, hallways – in fact any room in your home.
Murals can also be a wonderful feature in nurseries, playgroups, activity centres and children’s areas in pubs and other venues.

Inspiration for your mural can come from many sources – favourite films and TV programmes, books, nursery rhymes, hobbies and interests – the opportunities are endless.

Panels and Canvases

As an alternative to a permanent mural you could consider hand painted panels (mdf) or canvases. These also add that touch of magic but offer flexibility with regard to positioning, they can be removed and taken with you should you move house and can be replaced and updated as your child’s interests and tastes change.

Whichever you choose, you can be sure that your home will benefit from a unique design feature you will enjoy and admire for many years.

What’s Involved ?

1. Get in touch with me, Mike Revell, on 0161 283 8268 or 07854 117542.

2. I’ll arrange to visit you at your convenience, discuss your ideas and measure the wall(s).

3. The first stage of the actual work is then a scale drawing which I’ll bring back to you, discuss any changes and agree a price for the mural.

4. Once the drawing is approved, I’ll then copy it onto the wall and begin painting. PLEASE NOTE: Walls should be painted in WHITE emulsion prior to commencement. This is something you can easily do yourself, though it can be done for you if necessary but obviously adds a bit of time and money to the job. The mural is painted using a combination of acrylics and emulsion. These are non-toxic, odour-free and quick-drying paints.

5. A 25% deposit is payable before painting begins and the balance paid on completion.

How long does it take?

It all depends on the size of the mural and the amount of detail included. To give you an idea, the Little Mermaid mural (approx 3.2m x 1.2 m) took approximately 37 hours which included sourcing images, the scale drawing, copying the drawing onto the wall and painting. The 3 Toy Story panels took approx 16 hours.
